Mr. Herman. Lane, age 76, died at Norton Surburban Hospital in Louisville, KY, on Saturday, April 21, 2012. Born July 9, 1935, in Louisville, KY, he attended Jefferson County Public Schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp where he was in the Korean War. Later in life he worked as a firefighter in Louisville, KY and a Maintenance Mechanic in which he retired from. Herman was known for his sweet demeanor and his wonderful sense of humor. He will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered by: Two sons Bryan Lane and Steven Rupe (Lisa) of Louisville; three daughters, Brynn Monroe (Shameka) of Jeffersonville IN; Shermaine Dale and Laura Lane of Louisville, KY; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.. He also leaves his long-time friend Shirley Manion and his aunt Juanita.
